Stephen Pitmon, a native Minnesotan, has practiced general dentistry
in Colchester since 1988. Dr. Pitmon serves on the Peer Review Committee
along with Dr. Nevin Zablotsky, and helps coordinate the Special
Olympics, Special Smiles dental program. He is a 1988 graduate of the
University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
Pitmon lives in Underhill Center with his wife, Tamara, and two
children. He enjoys spending time with his family, and anything else
that gets him outdoors in this beautiful state!

Dr. Grace Dickinson Branon is a Vermont native who graduated from the University of Vermont and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, she received the Award for Clinical Excellence in General Dentistry from the Tufts Alumni Association.
Dr. Branon is currently a principal at Dickinson & Branon Dental Care in St.Albans, Vermont where she practices with her father and brother.
She founded and leads a dental health initiative in the Champlain Valley which conducts direct outreach to at-risk youth through a variety of community outreach and educational programs in local schools.
Grace also enjoys running, skiing, and spending time with her husband and their Labrador retriever on their family farm in Fairfield, Vermont.

Connolly received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College. His
degree was confirmed Cum Laude with Distinction. He also received his
Dental Degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dental
Medicine in 1976 and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Epsilon Honor
Society and was recognized by the American College of Dentists for
comprehensive patient care. He completed his residency training in Oral
and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital in 1979.
He has been in private practice in Chittenden County since then.
He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial
Surgeons. He is also a member of the: ADA, American Dental Society of
Anesthesiology, American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association, Vermont
State Dental Society, and the Vermont Society of Oral and Maxillofacial
Dr. Connolly also serves as the craniofacial consultant for the State of
Vermont's Children with Special Health Needs Cleft Lip and Palate
Division. He was nominated and inducted to the International College of
Dentists in October, 2003. Dr. Connolly is a Clinical Assistant
Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Vermont
College of Medicine and is a member of the medical staff at FAHC. Dr.
Connolly recently completed his seventh year as an Examiner for the
American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is pleased and
excited to have the opportunity to serve as a member of the Vermont

Blanck has practiced general dentistry in Burlington since 1990. After
graduating from the University of Buffalo Dental School, he attended
the MCHV Dental Residency Program. Once here, he realized that Vermont
offered the professional and personal opportunities few other places
did. David and his wife, Maureen, live in Hinesburg with their two
young daughters. His free time is spent in the woods and trying,
unsuccessfully, to keep up with his children.

After graduating from Case Western Reserve University School of
Dentistry in 1998, Dr. Cassandra Coakley moved from her native Ohio to practice
dentistry in beautiful Central Vermont. Her practice is on Main Street in
our capital city of Montpelier.
Cassie, her husband, Mike, and their four children live in Waterbury where they
are close to hiking trails in the summer and ski trails in the winter.
They enjoy being involved in their community and volunteering with
Special Olympics, where their oldest daughter is an athlete.

Dr. Knippler received his
undergraduate degree from Binghamton University and his dental degree from the
University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1993. After completing a
two-year general practice residency he moved to Vermont where he has been
practicing since 1995. Dr. Knippler has
a general practice located in Randolph Center and has been a member of the
Vermont State Dental Society for 19 years.
As a board member he looks forward to the
challenges and rewards of serving the members of the Vermont State Dental
Fisch has practiced general dentistry in Rutland with her husband David
K. Heaton, DDS since 1989. She graduated from Georgetown University
Dental School in 1984, and completed a tour of duty with the U.S. Navy
1984-1989. Judi and Dave live with their four children in the Rutland

Dr. David McLean is a native of Concord, California.
He has practiced general dentistry in Vermont since graduation from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2000.
David, his wife Maida, and their 2 young daughters live in South
Burlington. Dr. McLean is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys the hunting,
fishing, biking, and skiing opportunities Vermont offers.

Collins is a native of Massachusetts, but has lived in Vermont on and
off for over 20 years. Vaughn brings extensive legislative and
administrative skills to his position as Executive Director of the
Vermont State Dental Society.
He worked in
Washington, D.C. for conservation oriented organizations as Director of
Government Affairs and Director of Public Policy. Prior to that he was
Executive Director of the Vermont Council on Rural Development, was a
research fellow at the Center for Rural Studies at the University of
Vermont, and a senior project manager at Housing Vermont.
holds a Bachelor’s degree in Resource Economics from the University of
Massachusetts in Amherst and a Master’s degree in Public Policy and
Applied Economics from the University of Vermont.
and his wife Laura live in West Ferrisburgh. Vaughn is an avid
outdoorsman, conservationist, birder and he particularly enjoys training
the family’s Labrador Retriever, and trying to train the cat.
is a native of Massachusetts and a graduate of University of Vermont.
She worked in a specialty dental practice in Vermont for 13 years before
becoming a member of the VSDS team. She lives in Williston and spends
all of her free time with her family in outdoor recreational activities.

Jenny Pitz has lived longer in Vermont than in her native state of New Jersey. A graduate of
St. Michael’s College (1993,) Ms. Pitz’s Customer Service and Marketing
background gives her a solid business acumen. When combined with her strong
interpersonal skills, it makes her a perfect fit for the role of Dental
As a little
girl, her grandparents would bring Jenny, her brother and 4 other grandchildren
to Vermont for the summer month of July. Jenny has spent every summer of her
life at Harvey’s Lake in West Barnet, VT. It is that deep connection with this
state that drew Jenny to settle in Burlington after college. Vermont was and is
her only choice. Jenny intends to share her love of and enthusiasm for our
state when building relationships and making connections with Dental Students,
Dental Residents and the VSDS membership.
Jenny resides in
Burlington with her 17 year-old cat. On weekends, you may bump into her at one
of the karaoke evenings she hosts at local nightclubs.
was born and raised in Vermont. She graduated from Champlain College
with a B.S in Business Administration. Having spent several years in
the Raleigh, NC area, she has come to appreciate all that Vermont has to
offer and the support of her large, extended family. Hilary has a
varied background in client relations, and previously worked serving the
membership of a local union. She lives in Essex Junction, and spends
all of her free time with her three year old son.
Dr. Dow has served on the ADA Council on Government Affairs, the ADA Charitable Relief Task Force and the ADA Essential Oral Healthcare Task Force. He is a retired colonel from the Maine Army National Guard.
Dr. Dow is a past president of the Maine Dental Association, the Kennebec Valley Dental Association, past chair of the MDA Council on Governmental Relations and received the MDA Presidents Award in 2001 and 2009. He is a fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
