Freedom Day- Dental Care for Veterans

Dr. Brian Shuman at Associates in Periodontics in South Burlington held a free care day for veterans.  They saw 57 patients that received periodontal care.  The staff were all happy to help the veterans.  It may become an annual event for the office.  click here for Channel 5 news coverage

Brattleboro Dentists receive the "Unsung Hero Award".

Brattleboro area dentists are recognized for their outstanding contributions to the under served populations of Vermont.

Special Smiles 2017

Thank you to all the Special Smiles volunteers who provided health care screenings for over 225 Special Athletes at the Special Olympics Vermont Summer Games on Saturday, June 3rd!  Vermont dentists continue to contribute to their profession and community - Now that's Care Beyond the Chair!

Vermont Sled Hockey

VSDS member dentist is involved with the Northeast Disabled Athletic Association (NDAA) for the past 3 years after meeting a disabled receptionist who was very active and passionate about the organization. The NDAA provides adapted athletic recreational and competitive sports opportunities for people with disabilities.  Since then, our member has become the Vice President of their small working board and participates on the sled hockey team, the Vermont Sledcats, as one of the 5 able-bodied players allowed.

Vermont Ski Patrol

Many of our VSDS member dentists volunteer throughout winter months on various ski patrols at Vermont ski resorts.  They are working to keep our ski slopes safe throughout the season.  Now that's "Care Beyond the Chair".
